How much does it cost?
Membership dues are $8 per person
How do I join?
You can request a membership envelope directly from your child's teacher, or you may come by the school office to pick one up or sign up online at http://joinpta.org/ Just look for Scarborough in the drop down menu
How long is my membership good for?
Your membership lasts from the day you sign up to the end of that current school year. You must sign up again at the beginning of each school year
How many meetings do I have to attend?
We hold 3-4 general meetings through the year and while we encourage members to attend, it is never required
Can I just make an $8 donation instead of joining PTA?
We would love to have as many members as possible on our team but would never want you to make a comittment you aren't comfortable with. We would gladly accept the monetary donation
Where does my membership fee go?
A portion of the dues goes to Texas PTA and Scarborough keeps the rest. That money is used to help fund all of the programs and events we sponsor: Field Trips, Movie Night, Husky Hoedown, Family Fun Night, etc

Why Join PTA?

- Discover Valuable Resources Available Through the District: Our PTA partners with our wonderful counselors to offer a variety of programs for parents as well as students (i.e. Bullying, Kids and Social Media, Autism Awareness, etc)
- Create a New Parent Network: School functions are the perfect opportunities to meet other parents from your neighborhood with whom you can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.
